Dec. 11, 2015

We have not posted in awhile so we thought we would take a moment to write an update on what we have/will be up to!

As some might already know, we have gone from a collective of seven members to six this past summer.  Alexandra Scarola is pursuing other passions in her life and has gone back to school! We miss dancing with her but are very happy to see her thriving in everything she is taking on.

This coming January we are very excited to be performing in a new project by Winnipeg creator/performer Ming Hon in collaboration with creative scientist Dr.Irwin Adam of Future Food Studio! This new work titled HAPPY AT THE SAD, takes place at RAW ALMOND from Jan 21-22,2016. These evenings will hosts diners to an immersive food experience alongside performance. Tickets go on sale this Sunday in person at Deer&Almond.

As a collective we are very thrilled to have received funding from the Manitoba Arts Council and will be putting on another show in March. We are very eager to get back into the studio for a new creative process and new development of Zorya Arrow's work and to bring Toronto based choreographer Riley Sims back to Winnipeg!

In February we will be hosting an event at the newly opened venue The Knndy to help us raise money to support our 2016 endeavours. Stay tuned for more details on this!

Thanks for taking the time to read this and for your interest in what we are doing. We hope everyone enjoys their holidays and look forward to performing for you in the new year!

Much Love,

Nova Dance Collective
